Clinical Specialist | EMDR Therapist | Certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & EMDR

Care for the parts of life that are hardest to carry alone

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when what you’re carrying is heavy, complex, or hard to put into words. My role is to offer a space where you don’t have to hold it all on your own—where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, along with relationship and parenting challenges. I also support those moving through infertility, perinatal grief and loss, and reproductive trauma—experiences that can feel isolating and are often not spoken about openly.

I have experience working with members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Veterans, and I approach this work with respect for the unique pressures and experiences that can come with military life.

My work is grounded in evidence-based therapies and shaped by what you need. I draw from EMDR, CBT, DBT, and other trauma-informed approaches, and we’ll work together in a way that feels safe, collaborative, and at a pace that fits for you.

I have completed WPATH training, which allows me to provide readiness assessments for gender-affirming care, including hormone therapy and surgical interventions.

About Me

I am a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and Clinical Specialist with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. I offer a supportive, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

I hold a Master of Social Work from York University, a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree from the University of Toronto.

I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am a Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist through the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies.

My professional experience spans private practice, hospital-based mental health services, and community settings. In addition to my private practice work, I support children, adolescents, and families within the public mental health system, providing early identification, assessment, and intervention, as well as ongoing therapeutic support.

Earlier in my career, I worked in intensive addiction treatment and supportive housing environments, where I provided individual, group, and family support to individuals navigating substance use, trauma, and complex mental health challenges. I have also worked extensively in child and family services, supporting youth and caregivers through assessment, treatment planning, and skill development.

My approach is flexible and tailored to your needs, grounded in collaboration, and focused on helping you build insight, develop skills, and process difficult experiences.

At the core of my work is the belief that therapy should feel respectful, non-judgmental, and genuinely supportive.
